Cymbals
This instrument has an undetermined pitch and was probably originated in Central Asia, where it spread through the Middle East and then Greece and Rome. It is made of a cooper and plater bind and it is usually played in pairs, one aginst the other. Initially, it was used to characterize Turkish scenes in operas and it was definitively adopted by the symphonic music due its fussy and sharp sonority.
