Noel Rosa

Born in Vila Isabel neighborhood, Noel Rosa lived only 26 years but wrote many works: he composed more than 200 sambas, among which are classics such as Feitiço da Vila, Conversa de Botequim and Pastorinhas. He was the first composer to establish a link between the favelas and the city in his sambas, in partnership with Ismael Silva and Cartola.
