Guilherme Bauer

1940 - 2024

Being a composer and professor, Guilherme Bauer is one of the leading composers of the avant-garde movement, born in the 1940's and 50's. He was a student of Cláudio Santoro, Esther Scliar and Guerra-Peixe. Bauer was won a total of 8 awards in composition, such as the ESSO award of erudite music (Prêmio ESSO de Música Erudita), the Latin-American award of the UFBA (Concurso Latino-Americano da UFBA) and the award of the society of artistic culture of São Paulo (Prêmio da Sociedade Cultura Artística de São Paulo).  Birth: Brasil Rio de Janeiro RJ, 17/7/1940
