André Filho

1906 - 1974

Composer, arranger, instrumentalist, singer and broadcaster. He is the author of many succesful songs, among them Cidade Maravilhosa, hymn of the Rio de Janeiro. He worked with Noel Rosa and Heitor dos Prazeres and his compositions were recorded by the greatest artists of 1930's and 1940's such as Silvio Caldas, Carmen Miranda, Francisco Alves and Mário Reis.
