Espiridião Noronha

1875 - 1956

Son of Benvindo and Antônia Noronha, he was the only conductor of the Santo Antônio Philharmonic, created in 1904 by Dr. Manoel Baptista Itajahy. The group was born to attend the celebrations organized by the Cabaús and was extinguished in 1925, after the death of its founder. Many Espiridião works are nowadays in the Filarmônica Nossa Senhora da Conceição collection. Birth: Brasil Itabaiana SE, 24/10/1875
