Dolores Duran

With prodigious voice and musicality, at the age of ten she took first place in the talent show led by Ary Barroso. Dolores recorded her first album at 22 and, three years later, began composing in partnership with Tom Jobim. Her career was prematurely interrupted by a heart attack at age 29, but her compositions continued to be recorded by leading performers. Birth: Brasil Rio de Janeiro RJ, 7/6/1930
