Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, she started playing guitar at age 14. In 1968 he released the LP "Joyce" with a presentation signed by Vinícius de Moraes. In 1980, she participated in the Brazilian Popular Music Festival of TV Globo, classifying Clareana, a great success. She performs annually on the Blue Note circuit in Japan.
