Sam Cavalcanti holds a Master's degree in Music from the UFPB and is graduated in Piano from the same institution. He is a member of the Composition Laboratory of the UFPB, composer of soundtracks and has worked as a music critic since 2007. He was awarded by FUNARTE for the work Estudo para dois violinos premiered during the XXI Biennial of Brazilian Contemporary Music.
