Conductor, pianist and arranger, he stood out in the Golden Age of Rádio Nacional. Besides Lamartine Babo, he composed successful songs and sambas. His album “Orquestra Brasil Moderno”, made in 1963, brought new harmonic possibilities to the Brazilian musical scene, which influenced the newborn Bossa Nova movement.
