Graduate in Music from York University, England, and Ph.D. in Literature and Music from The University of Iowa, United States. He is the artistic director of OSESP since 2010 and Winter Festival of Campos do Jordão since 2012. He also performs as a guitarist and composer, playing alongside artists such José Miguel Wisnik, Zélia Duncan, and Jacques Morelenbaum, in Brazil and abroad.
