Conductor, musician and Carlos Gomes’ older brother, he joined him through the villages of São Paulo’s countryside, encouraging him later to move to Rio de Janeiro, where new opportunities would arise for his career. In Campinas he played a fundamental role teaching musicians and conducting bands and orchestras. Some of his works are currently found in the Carlos Gomes Museum of Campinas.
