Damiano Cozzella

1929 - 2018

Composer, arranger and professor, Cozzella studied with Koellreutter in the 50’s and was a signatory of the Música Viva Manifest. As an arranger, he worked with Caetano Veloso and Tom Zé, among others. He also was a jury in festivals of popular Brazilian music. In the 70’s he was one of the founders of the Music Department at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP).
