As a child he learnt to play many instruments from his father. He studied at Escola Paulista de Canto Orfeônico in São Paulo. He composed 25 sound tracks for films by the cinematographer Amácio Mazzaropi. His compositions were recorded by artists such as Almir Sater and Renato Teixeira, among others.
