When he was 10 years old, his father gives him an accordion. The gift has encouraged him to sing and at the age of 12 he formed a band called Guri. From 1994 his career took off and in 1997 he joins the band Tradição as a lead singer. Its biggest success are Barquinho, O caldeirão, Pra sempre minha vida e Eu quero você, all written by himself.
