Member of the group Clube da Esquina, great success in Brazil and abroad, he founded in 1970 the band Som Imaginário, starting to play concerts and recordings with important names of Brazilian music such as Milton Nascimento. He was elected by critics the Best Arranger in 1974 and 1975. Launched in 2009 the album Samba e Jazz - um século de música.
