He studied composing at USP and electroacoustic music in the Studio fur Elektronische Musik in Cologne, Germany. He specialized at Centro di Sonologia Computazionale de Padua, Italy. Concludes his PhD in 1992 in Belgium with an award-winning thesis about Luciano Berio. He acted in the Sacher Foundation in Basel, Switzerland, and at IRCAM in Paris, in the same year of 1997 when he becomes the first full professor of Brazil in electroacoustic composing. Among many awards received we can highlight the Prix Ars Electronica, Austria (1995) and Giga-Hertz-Preis of Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Germany (2007). Birth: Brasil Sao Paulo SP, 18/4/1962
