Pianist and composer, Vianna started to study piano at 8 years-old in his homeland, moving to Rio de Janeiro afterwards. In the 1920's, he begins to work as a composer and, at the request of Villa-Lobos, he composes a piece of music for the Modern Art Week. He was also conductor of the Paulistano Choir and professor at the National Institute of Music.
